Dr. Godswill O. Tesi is a Senior Lecturerand Researcher in the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, FederalUniversity of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State, Nigeria.  He attended the Delta State University, Abrakaand University of Ibadan, Ibadan where he obtained his PhD degree in EnvironmentalChemistry and MSc degree in Analytical Chemistry respectively. He is arecipient of several fellowships, scholarships and awards including aPostdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Faculty of Environmental Management,Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. Dr. Tesi has over thirteen (13) yearsof teaching and research experiences, teaching students from various social andcultural backgrounds and carrying out research in the area of Environmental & Analytical Chemistrywith special interest in thedetermination, quantification, fate, sources, ecological and human health riskassessment of inorganic and organic pollutants in different environmental media(soil, sediments, water and dust), food, personal care products, human andanimal tissues as well as remediation studies using low cost adsorbents andnanomaterials/nanocomposites. He has published over ninety (90) peer-reviewedarticles in reputable Scientific Journals indexed in Science CitationIndex Expanded, Web of Science, Clariviate Analytics, Scopus etc. He has successfully obtained grants from differentorganization including the Bayelsa State Education Trust Fund and has completedthree scientific projects. Dr Tesi has contributed papers and abstracts tonational and international conferences. His Google Scholar Citations frompublished research works is 1668 with h-index of 24 and i10-index of 52 andScopus h-index is 18 as at 21^st April, 2025 indicating his visibilityand impact as a researcher. He is ranked among the top 500 authors in Nigeria byElsevier based scholarly output over the period 2015 to 2025. Dr. Tesi hasserved as reviewer for several Scientific Journals in his field, including, EmergingContaminants, Springer Nature (SN) Applied Sciences, Scientific Reports, AsianJournal of Water, Environment and Pollution etc. He has served as reviewers ofseveral research grants applications to several funding agencies including theThomas-Bassir Biomedical Foundation (TBBF). He is a member of the EditorialBoard, Delta Chemist Magazine and the African Scientist. Dr. Tesi is a member of the Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria(ICCON), Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Institute of Strategic Managementof Nigeria (ISMN) and Oracle Corporation, California, USA. Dr. Tesi has heldseveral positions and served in various committees at the Departmental and Facultylevels and the University system. He is happily married with children.
